Recently, in the evaluation of Jiangsu Province Engineering Research Center organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the " Jiangsu Province Engineering Research Center of Prefabricated Building and Intelligent Construction" (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") at our university performed exceptionally well, achieving a "Good" rating, marking another milestone in its development.

Since its establishment, the Center has closely aligned with national strategic goals such as "new-type construction industrialization," "intelligent construction," and "dual-carbon" initiatives, as well as the high-quality transformation and upgrading needs of Jiangsu's construction industry. Focusing on critical challenges such as "unstable performance of green building materials" and "immature joint connections in prefabricated structures in high-seismic zones," the Center has leveraged the research expertise of Suqian University and established a robust industry-academia-research collaborative innovation system with key partners, including Suqian Chengtou Yuanda, Beijing Gouli Technology, Jiangsu Liyin Building Materials, Jiangsu Zhongke Jundu IoT, and the Suqian University Industrial Technology Research Institute.

Significant breakthroughs have been made in core areas such as construction waste recycling, safety and reliability technologies for prefabricated joints in high-seismic zones, and BIM-based intelligent construction and digital platforms. To date, the Center has undertaken 30 provincial and municipal projects, secured 105 patents, and published 110 research papers.

In future, the Center will remain committed to serving national strategies and regional development in Jiangsu, tackling key common and cutting-edge technologies in prefabricated buildings and intelligent construction. It aims to drive the industrialization, digitalization, and green transformation of Jiangsu's construction sector, contributing to the establishment of a modern industrial system.
