Recently, the "Xindi Cup" 10th East China CAD Teaching Competition for University Teachers concluded successfully at Nanjing Forestry University. A total of 27 teachers from institutions such as Jiangsu Ocean University, Nanjing Institute of Technology, and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology competed in the event. After intense competition, Xu Qiang from the School of Architectural Engineering won the first prize, while Han Nv secured the third prize, demonstrating the solid expertise and innovative vitality of our faculty in CAD application teaching.
Recognized as a provincial-level competition by the Jiangsu Higher Education Association, the event aims to explore teaching reform approaches for CAD and engineering graphics courses, promote the exchange of teaching experiences among university instructors, and enhance students' CAD application skills and innovative design capabilities. Since its launch in April, the School of Civil Engineering Architecture has attached great importance to preparation, organizing multiple trial lectures and practice sessions. Teaching supervisors and award-winning teachers from provincial-level teaching competitions were invited to provide comprehensive guidance, covering aspects such as instructional design, courseware optimization, integration of ideological and political elements, and refinement of teaching features, ensuring the participants were fully prepared for the challenge.
This achievement reflects Suqian University's long-term commitment to cultivating young teachers' teaching abilities. The university consistently promotes teaching improvement and reform through competitions, fostering teamwork and providing platforms for professional growth. Moving forward, the institution will further deepen teaching innovation in engineering graphics and CAD technology, strengthen cross-university exchanges and collaboration, and lay a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality applied talents.
