On the morning of September 19, the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture successfully convened its 2025 Fall Semester Teaching Supervision Meeting in Room C207. The meeting was attended by school leadership, the head of the teaching supervision group, and all supervision members, and was chaired by Xu Baishun, head of the supervision group.
At the meeting, Xu Baishun conveyed the key points from the university’s faculty assembly and the institution-level supervision work conference. He detailed the class observation tasks for the semester, outlined observation requirements, and arranged supervision activities for Weeks 4 to 12, including freshman course monitoring and other teaching oversight duties.
Supervisors exchanged feedback on their class observations from the first three weeks, summarized identified issues, and actively discussed solutions. Suggestions were also made on how to excel in supervision roles and better support the school’s development.
Guo Lu, the school’s academic affairs lead, emphasized the importance of fully fulfilling assigned responsibilities—including class observation, course monitoring, exam inspection, and teaching material reviews—to help new teachers overcome early teaching challenges and gain a solid footing in the classroom, thereby contributing to the school’s growth.
The meeting built consensus and motivation, setting a clear direction for supervision work in the new semester. All supervisors pledged to align with the meeting’s guidelines, focus on objectives, and improve the quality assurance system, supporting the school’s pursuit of high-quality development.
