Teachers from School of Civil Engineering and Architectural Achieve Great Results in the 14th "Jiangsu Provincial Young Teachers' Lecture Competition for Civil Engineering and Intelligent Construction Majors"

From December 12 to 14, the 14th "Jiangsu Provincial Young Teachers' Lecture Competition for Civil Engineering and Intelligent Construction Majors", sponsored by the Education Working Committee of Jiangsu Civil Engineering and Architecture Society and co-hosted by the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of Yangzhou University, the School of Civil Engineering of Yangzhou Polytechnic University, and the School of Architectural Engineering of Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute, came to an end in Yangzhou. A total of 81 teachers from more than 30 universities, including Southeast University, Hohai University and China University of Mining and Technology, participated in the competition. The lecture competition set up 7 competition groups: Intelligent Construction Group, Materials and Construction Group, Engineering Structure Group, Mechanics Group 1, Mechanics Group 2, Comprehensive Group and Higher Vocational Group. After fierce competition, Teacher Guo Lu from our college won the first prize, and Teacher Meng Liyuan won the second prize.

Improving the teaching ability of young teachers is one of the key teaching tasks promoted by our college. In recent years, the college has actively deepened teaching reform and encouraged young teachers to participate in various teaching competitions. For this competition, the college, taking the course teaching team as the unit, organized experienced teachers to carry out multiple lectures and evaluations, providing all-round polishing and guidance on curriculum content, teaching design, courseware production, lecture rehearsal and other links, helping young teachers comprehensively improve their teaching ability and achieve the goal of improving quality through polishing and promoting teaching through competition.

The excellent results achieved in this competition fully demonstrate the solid professional foundation and excellent teaching ability of the young teachers in our college, fully show their teaching style, and lay a solid foundation for the college to build a high-level teacher echelon and improve the quality of undergraduate teaching.
