To proactively respond to the profound changes in the construction industry and focus on cultivating outstanding engineering leading talents for the future, the opening ceremony of the 6th "Iron Army Outstanding Engineering Class" of the School of Civil Engineering and Architectural was held at the Yancheng New Fourth Army Memorial Hall on December 5. Ni Chunyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, the person in charge of teaching work, Guo Lu, Director of the Department of Civil Engineering, representative supervisors and all students of the "Iron Army Outstanding Engineering Class" participated in the activity.

In her speech, Ni Chunyan pointed out profoundly that the "Iron Army Outstanding Engineering Class" is an important platform for the college to implement the fundamental task of moral education and cultivate top-notch talents. She encouraged all students to inherit the red gene, temper their professional skills, bravely shoulder the mission of the times, and strive to grow into high-quality engineering talents with firm ideals and beliefs, solid professional skills and excellent comprehensive quality. At the meeting, Ni Chunyan and Guo Lu jointly unveiled the plaque for the 6th "Iron Army Outstanding Engineering Class". All students took a solemn oath on the spot, promising to pursue excellence and dedicate themselves to the country with iron discipline and steel will. In his speech, Guo Lu emphasized that students should have a sense of family and country, be brave in innovation, focus on practice, and strive to grow into leaders in the future construction industry.

After the ceremony, teachers and students visited the Yancheng New Fourth Army Memorial Hall together. Through on-site red practice, the students deeply understood the revolutionary history, realized the "Iron Army Spirit", and further strengthened their ideals and beliefs of rooting in the major and serving the country through engineering.
