On April 23, 2025, the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture organized an anti-fraud awareness lecture titled "Building Awareness, Ensuring Safety" in Rooms 4-306 (main venue) and 4-301 (satellite venue). The event aimed to enhance students' awareness of fraud prevention and strengthen campus security.

Mr. Zheng Hongbing, a First-Class Police Commissioner from Suqian Public Security Bureau and currently serving as Deputy Director of Suqian University's Security Department, was invited as the keynote speaker. Over 200 student anti-fraud ambassadors attended the session.

Drawing on more than a decade of anti-fraud experience, Mr. Zheng analyzed prevalent types of telecom fraud on campuses through real-life cases, including part-time job scams, investment fraud, impersonation of customer service, and romance scams. He deconstructed eight common fraud tactics such as "transaction inducement" and "emotional manipulation." The session also featured live demonstrations of emergency response measures when encountering fraudulent activities, equipping students with practical risk-coping skills.

Participants expressed their commitment to actively disseminate anti-fraud knowledge among peers, working collectively to build a stronger safety net across the campus. The event marked another proactive step by the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture in safeguarding students against evolving fraud schemes.
